Following their barnstorming performance at this year’s Electric Picnic, The Saw Doctors will play a concert at 3Olympia Theatre, Dublin on Friday 29th November 2024. Due to demand, they announced a second show on Saturday 30th November 2024.

Tickets are priced from €41.50 including booking fee & €1.50 restoration levy and went on sale with Ticketmaster Ireland, however are now sold out for both shows.

The Saw Doctors have just finished a three month summer tour that included sold out shows in New York at Central Park, Dublin at Fairview Park, Manchester at Castlefield Bowl and Belfast at Custom House Square with pit stops along the way in Munich, Brussels, Amsterdam, Boston, Chicago as well as two hometown gigs at the Galway Arts Festival in July.

Ahead of the 3Olympia show on November 29, The Saw Doctors will release a brand-new single, I Love To Go Awanderin’, on Friday September 27th, coupled with a music video for the single that was filmed in sun-kissed Connemara last week by UK director Steven Lock. The Saw Doctors, who are powered by the band's core songwriting duo, Davy Carton (lead vocals) and Leo Moran (electric guitar), have recently welcomed back one of their founding band members, Pearse Doherty on bass guitar, vocals, penny whistle and wooden flute. The eight man lineup features longtime members Rickie O’Neill (drums), Kieran Duddy (keyboards and accordion) and Tommy Carton (backing vocals) as well as acclaimed sidemen, Anthony Thistlethwaite (saxophone, formerly of The Waterboys) and Noelie McDonnell (guitar and backing vocals, The Whileaways).

Discovered by Mike Scott of The Waterboys on a stormy Tuesday night in the Quay’s Bar, Galway in the late 1980s, The Saw Doctors grew quickly, touring around Ireland and the UK, including a six-week stint with The Waterboys on the Fisherman’s Blues tour in 1989. The Saw Doctors second single, ‘I Useta Lover’ was a surprise Number One hit in Ireland in 1990, remaining top of the charts for nine weeks, going on to become the biggest selling Irish single ever.

Carrying the torch of resilience and infectious energy, The Saw Doctors will celebrate their 35th year on the road with a major UK winter tour that kicks off at the Hammersmith Apollo, London on Halloween night, October 31 and includes sell out gigs in Liverpool, Leeds and two shows at the famous Barrowland venue in Glasgow.

quote If they could bottle the sort of Bonhomie that make and entire concert hall feel better, The Saw Doctors would have the medicine show to end them all.
